Marketing Intern
Online Campaign Design & Implementation. Knowledge and experience with AdWords is essential, and being able to brief and work with a creative team on effective landing pages will also be an important part of the role. LinkedIn and Twitter are additional advertising channels being considered. PR & Co-marketing coordination. AffinityLive currently partners with brands like Intuit, Google, Yammer, Adobe, Xero and others, and significant co-marketing and PR opportunities exist to leverage these relationships through either press coverage or the promotion of AffinityLive by these partners to their channels. Community Management. With more than 1000 users in more than a dozen countries, the AffinityLive user community represent an important channel for our marketing activities through social and WOM platforms. Capitalizing on this opportunity will involve using the AffinityLive Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus profiles, the creation of client testimonials for the AffinityLive website and the use of EDMs to users to solicit their involvement, feedback and support.
Business Development Intern
AffinityLive, a SoMa based startup that's building the next SalesForce, is looking for a motivated and customer obsessed business intern to join their small and high performing front of house team. AffinityLive manages all of the client work in a business, from prospect to payment, and everything in between. Optimized for the massive small and medium professional services sector, TechCrunch described AffinityLive as a platform "that essentially helps businesses manage all of their work from the cloud." The product has only been in the market since November 2011, and has been seeing strong 20-30% month on month growth. As the first dedicated bizdev on board, you'll be working closely with the CEO and client service support team in the following areas: Strategic distribution research & development. The most significant strategic priority at AffinityLive relates to distribution – how to get the AffinityLive message to the hundreds of thousands of businesses around the world who fit the target market for the product. This component of your role will involve analysing and testing in a lean startup context the pros and cons of various distribution opportunities using surveys, interviews and experiments to validate winning distribution and lead generation mechanisms. New business development. Currently, AffinityLive has a few hundred companies a month signing up to use the platform. Part of your role will be to proactively reach out and develop these trials from curious leads to converted users through helping to educate users about how AffinityLive can help their business. Your tools will include automated emails (and your role will include working with the technical team to optimize the copy, timing and format of these messages), webinars and phone calls. Partner network design & development. AffinityLive currently has dozens of companies who've registered their interest in becoming resellers or partners, however, currently no reseller or partnership program exists. You'll work closely with the CEO to design and develop an initial partner program, and your work will also involve both research into comparable programs as well as surveying and interviewing the already registered partners to understand their businesses, levels of commitment and expectations
